Coal Harbour is one of the more affluent neighborhoods in Vancouver. Located between the Financial District to the south, and Stanley Park to the north, the area features private marinas, parks, rowing and boating clubs, and a community centre. There is an abundance of high-rise condominiums with some of the highest price tags in the city, mostly attributed to the breathtaking views of the mountains and harbour.

Located next to Stanley Park, the Coal Harbour neighborhood is the perfect place for a balance between nature and city life. The seawall contours the area to the north and has endless scenic views of mountains and ocean.

To the south of Coal Harbour is the West End, where there are a number of amenities such as restaurants, grocery stores, boutique shops, and more. The intersection of Georgia Street and Denman Street can be one of the more congested spots in the downtown area, as it is the gateway to the Lion's Gate Bridge and the North Shore.

Next to Coal Harbour, in Stanley Park, is the Vancouver Aquarium which is a major tourist attraction for Vancouver and the centre for marine research, conservation and marine animal rehabilitation, open to visitors 365 days a year.

Real estate in Coal Harbour is highly sought after for its prime location and incredible views. Even Middle Eastern royalty has claimed condo units for as high as $40 million, making it the most expensive in Canada. The private marinas are also home to a handful of the only legal floating homes in Vancouver. Many of the ground floor townhouse units are converted to business storefronts such as hair salons and therapeutic clinics.

Popular restaurants such as Cardero's Restaurant & Pub, and Lift Bar & Grill, offer seaside patio dining, serving the best local food on the west coast.
