Fraserview is a large and multiculturally diverse area, including a large Indo-Canadian population. Much of the commercial development in the neighbourhood is focused along Victoria Drive. The area features a range of ethnic shops and services, with some of the city’s best prices for produce, and the greatest selection of local and exotic fruits and vegetables, as well as traditional European baked goods or any kind of Chinese dining. Most businesses are micro-sized – with less than 5 employees. The neighbourhood also features the large Fraserview Park and the Fraserview Golf Course.

Fraserview Park was upgraded with a new zip line, an accessible perimeter walking and jogging trail with circuit training stations, as well as outdoor fitness equipment. This has proven to be very popular with the neighbourhood's residents. Park improvements also included an expanded playground, patio spaces, tee-ball, seating, picnicking areas and pathways. Additional flower and shrub plantings have greatly increased the Fraserview community's use and enjoyment too.

Fraserview residents enjoy Fraserview Golf Course, an old course feeling in a relaxed West Coast setting. Overlooking the Fraser River, this well-maintained and traditional-style course features topographical changes along majestic, tree-lined fairways. The Fraserview Clubhouse also provides a beautiful setting for hosting private parties, luncheons, cocktail receptions, banquets and other special events, all year round.

Single-family residential residences dominate the Fraserview neighbourhood, though some townhomes can be found throughout the area. Along the Fraser River, a portion of the development known as the Fraserlands has resulted in condos and other residential construction to former industrial lands.

Fraserview includes residents along Victoria Drive, with the top five ethnic origins in order are Chinese, Filipino, East Indian, English and Scottish. Household sizes within the area are much larger, but the number of children per household is about the same, suggesting that there are many households containing multiple generations.
