Also known as 'Kits', the neighborhood is located in Vancouver's west side along the south shore of English Bay, and is home to the famous 'Kits Beach', named one of the top 10 best city beaches in the world. The area is an organic food hub, with an extensive mix of restaurants and retail along West 4th Avenue and West Broadway. Kitsilano is a popular place to live amongst the younger urban professional demographic, with low density apartment complexes and character homes being the predominant property type.

Many heritage residences still exist in the neighborhood, mixed with converted multiple family dwellings with unique flavor and charm. There is a suburban feel to the neighborhood, and is considered a more affordable alternative to the more densely populated West End lifestyle.

Kitsilano offers a perfect vantage point to see the Celebration of Light, the largest offshore fireworks competition in the world held annually in English Bay.

Greek Day is an award-winning family event attracting nearly 100,000 attendees from across the Lower Mainland. The day-long event consists of musical and dance acts, cooking demonstrations, and merchants, taking place on West Broadway between Blenheim and MacDonald in the summertime.

With over 45% of Kitsilano residents between the ages of 20 and 39, the neighborhood attracts young, upper middle-class urban singles.

With 17 parks, and one of the top city beaches in the world, Kitsilano is the perfect place to be surrounded by a natural environment. The popular Vanier Park is home to the Vancouver Museum, the Vancouver Maritime Museum, the City of Vancouver archives, and the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre.
